The Flaws of Abortion The controversy continues to cause a divide between pro-life and pro-choice on the topic of abortion after the US Supreme Court’s decision in 1973 in the case of Roe v. Wade. Pro-choice believes that abortion should be a right with no limitations. They also believe that the rights installed in the Declaration of Independence cannot be claimed for an unborn child. Pro-life believes that abortion procedures are an act of killing a helpless human being. It seems unfair that abortion is legal because it lowers adoption rates which is unfortunate for those willing to adopt. Both side have visible variations in their arguments. But abortion is not the best option to address the problem of unwanted children nationwide because of the many health risks and ignored rights to life.
The Sixth Commandment of the Bible 's Old Testament states, "Thou shalt not kill" (Exodus 20:13) which means the killing of an innocent human being would go against god’s word. Genesis 9:6 says, “Who so sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.” To kill a human being is to harm god because all humans are made in his image. God says in Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee..., which applies to all life forms. The bible states that all humans before they are born are recognized in god eyes. Abortion defies god and promotes the disposal of human lives.…
