Abortion is an issue that is still popular and debated amongst people in today’s society. Various opinions are articulated when it comes to this particular issue. Some believe it is unjust to allow a mother to have unrestricted access to have an abortion; others believe it is unjust to put restrictions on a mother from having an abortion. For many centuries, this has been a topic that has been argued in numerous Supreme Court cases. Many government officials, interest groups, and private professionals share different opinions and thoughts regarding abortion. The government today has legalized this procedure, but has allowed each state to place restrictions according to a majority vote. Various states are working on removing the state regulations on abortion and making it only that of the women’s right to make decisions about abortion.
Some state restrictions involve putting women through unnecessary tests, taking away coverage of abortions that are paid by different private insurances. They want to take away a women 's right to choice and regulate and limit all the circumstances involved in determining if a woman may obtain an abortion. Some of these regulations cause a series of complications before a woman is granted permission to have an abortion.
In the court case Roe v. Wade, a Texas resident name Roe sought to terminate her pregnancy by abortion. Texas law prohibited abortions except to save a pregnant woman’s life. Roe believed this was unreasonable and decided to…
