Introduction
The exploration of two models will show an interesting relationship when compared and contrasted. Both can increase competency levels in team building. The models are the Drexler/Sibbet Team Performance model (Human Performance Strategies) and the Four Stage Team Performance model (Developing Management Skills). In this sixth stage it is really not a question that is posed, rather than a saying. WOW! “When team members have resolved the issues of this stage they have flexibility, intuitive communication, and synergy (Human Performance Strategies).”
The Final Stage in this model is the renewal stage. The question that the model poses is, why continue? “When team members have resolved the issues of this stage, they have recognition, change mastery, and staying power. When team members are blocked at this stage, they show boredom and burnout (Human Performance Strategies).”

Similarities
The models are both well known for creating and sustaining high-performance teams, but there are other similarities that both of these models possess that make them so effective in creating and sustaining teams. Both models have stages for development, and this is important because it gives teams a level for measurability. Both models also have a stage that is the beginning or first-meeting stage for group members. This stage is when team members are first introduced to each other. Almost all of the extra stages that the Team Performance contains have similarities to the stages in the Four Stage Performance Model.
