Every human life, no matter how small, is important and valuable. According to National Right to Life Educational Foundation, abortions have been practiced in the United States since 1973. Since then, arguments, based on morals and religion have arisen, whether they are right or wrong. Abortions are considered as the termination of a human life based on the belief that life begins at conception. This means that any abortion is considered murder.
According to Worldometers, 40-50 million abortions are performed every year. This means that thousands of babies are murdered every day. These unborn children are denied the right to live, something that every single human being should be given. Due to abortions killing harmless children, they should not be permitted and be illegal.
The issue of abortions have been going on for years, however, they were illegal in the U.S. in the 1800s. Due to the lack of medical education regarding surgeries, abortions were very dangerous. Even with their medical advancements, women were still harmed. A case in 1973 referred as to “Roe vs. Wade” legalized abortion in the U.S. In the case, it was ruled that it is “unconstitutional . . . [to have] banned abortions except to save the life of the mother” (McBride 2006). Based on National Right to Life Educational Foundation, over 58,586,256 have died since 1973.
